사랑하는 아내와 새로운 시작을 약속했던 밤, 벌어진 의문의 살인사건(아내)에 의해 살인자의 누명을 쓴 주인공 알렉스 케인에게 핏보스 존슨(웨슬리 스나입스)과 딜러가 접근해오고, 비밀 조직에서 운영하는 도박 게임의 플레이어로 참가해 아내의 죽음에 대한 의문을 해결해보자라는 제안을 해오는데...
