Originalmente basada en los famosos libros de Martin Handford, la serie tenía como objetivo principal encontrar a Wally mientras viaja por distintos mundos fantásticos gracias a un bastón mágico que le da el mago barba blanca mientras es perseguido sin darse cuenta por Odlaw, un simple ladrón cuyo único objetivo es robarle el bastón a Wally.
