Worum geht es in Valvrave the Liberator?
Valvrave the Liberator spielt im Jahr 71 des „Wahren Kalenders“. Aufgrund der Entwicklung von Weltraumstädten lebt inzwischen 70 % der Menschheit im All, aufgeteilt in zwei Großmächte – die Dorushia Military Pact Federation und die Atlantic Ring United States. Neben diesen Großmächten hat sich eine dritte Fraktion gebildet, die kleine neutrale Nation Jiouru, welche wirtschaftlichen Wohlstand erlangt hat. Haruto lebt in Jiouru und besucht dort die Oberschule, als plötzlich die Armee von Dorushia angreift und er in der Folge auf die mysteriöse, „verbotene“ humanoide Waffe Valvrave trifft.
